There are two components to this feature: It is for local user accounts only on that same machine. This feature does not support desktops/laptops joined to a domain. There is an additional feature called 'Auto Unlock' which allows a user access to the drive if he or she is logged into the computer that the device is attached to. This is more efficacious than the 128-bit SecureAccess previously utilized. SanDisk Security uses AES 256-bit hardware encryption built directly into the product.
